wunderkabinett.co.uk Dan Aykroyd has been one of the highest profile figures in Ufology recently so combine this with crystal skulls and booze and it is a recipe for.... weirdness: Dan Aykroyd has decided to start selling vodka served bottles shaped like the crystal skulls from the recent Indiana Jones film. Seriously, he’s launched an ad campaign for this new product that is mostly just him ranting about his belief in aliens that somehow turns into an ad for this inexplicable new product. The quote I give goes on to cast aspersions on Dan's sanity but perhaps he is being cunning. This could be a cunning viral ad, designed specifically to instil that special WTF-Factor and, you know, it might just work - I certainly want one and I haven't touched a drop in years. Some suggest it might be a viral for Ghostbuster III or that it is a well done skit (it does feel like he is hamming it up). However, there is a Crystal Head Vodka site and you can apparently buy it here for $40. Aykroyd is known for this kind of thing - a news report looks at his tequila importing and the wine label he set up and it ends thusly: Up next for Aykroyd? "I'm going to build a vodka that will blow your mind," he vows. The secret? Ontario grain, perhaps from the St. Thomas area. And it will come in a bottle "everyone will want to have on their bar." Will it be in a Conehead shape? "That's a good idea," he muses. "It'd be better for a colourful, sweet liqueur, though." Now we now. Looks like he might have the last laugh after all.
