DAILY NEWS STAFF Video: Student Tasered at John Kerry speech The University of Florida said today it has asked state law enforcement officials to investigate an incident in which campus police Tasered a student as he tried to question Sen. John Kerry during a forum. Andrew Meyer, 21, was arrested after being zapped with a stun gun last night. He was released this morning on his own recognizance. Video of the incident, posted on several Web sites, shows campus police officers pulling Meyer away from a microphone after the student loudly asks Kerry about impeaching President Bush and whether he and Bush both belonged to the secret society Skull and Bones when they were students at Yale University. Meyer can be seen refusing to leave and becoming upset when officials cut the microphone off. "That's all right, let me answer his question," Kerry (D-Mass.) says as two officers take Meyer by the arms. Meyer is shown struggling as four officers try to remvoe him. The student screams for help and tries to break, then officers force him to the ground and order him to stop resisiting. Meyer cries out for the officers to let him go, then says, "Don't Tase me, bro," just before he is shcoked by the Taser. The officers then lead him from the room as he screams, "What did I do?" A university spokesman said campus police cut the microphone and removed Meyer because he had overstayed his allotted time to question the senator. Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, can be heard telling the audience that he would answer Meyer's "very important question." Meyer was arrested for resisting an officer and disturbing the peace, but the State Attorney's Office has notsaid whether he will be formally charged. University President J. Bernard Machen said today he had asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to investigate the arrest and determine whether campus police used excessive force. Two officers involved were placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the probe, said Machen, who called the incident "regretful." "We're absolutely committed to having a safe environment for our faculty and our students so that a free exchange of ideas can occur," Machen said. Kerry said today he was sorry the discussion had been interrupted and he hoped no one was injured. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/wn_report/2007/09/18/2007-09-18_student_tasered_at_john_kerry_forum.html

Sally Field, Ray Romano bleeped at Emmys By Andrew Wallenstein LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Hollywood heavyweights such as Sally Field and Ray Romano kept Fox censors on their toes during the Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday. Three instances of frank language during the telecast caused the network to cover itself, including a four-second delay triggered by Field's usage of the epithet "goddamn" as she accepted the trophy for lead actress in a drama series for ABC's "Brothers & Sisters." Referring to the Iraq War, she said, "Let's face it, if the mothers ruled the world, there would be no goddamned wars in the first place." Two other instances called for some creative camera selection on the fly. "Grey's Anatomy's" Katherine Heigl mouthed the word "s---" upon learning that she had won for supporting actress in a drama series, which prompted Fox to use a previously taped snippet of the audience in its stead. Early in the broadcast, Fox was forced to drop picture and sound during a stand-up monologue from Romano. Referring to the upcoming Fox series "Back to You" featuring "Frasier" star Kelsey Grammer and his own former co-star on "Everybody Loves Raymond," Patricia Heaton, Romano said, "Frasier is screwing my wife." Fox opted to eliminate the verb from the aforementioned sentence. The Emmys are no stranger to profanity. In 2004, Elaine Stritch was bleeped for joking comments she made from the stage. In previous years, comedians ranging from Martin Lawrence to Gilbert Gottfried have had their original statements altered for broadcast. Perhaps all the salty language should have been expected given an utterance made last week by Bravo reality star Kathy Griffin, who exclaimed "Suck it, Jesus!" upon winning a Creative Emmy award. E!, which aired that telecast, edited out the comment. Reuters/Hollywood Reporter http://www.reuters.com/article/entertainmentNews/idUSN1628844020070917

Yes ,this action by the police is alarming but I'm just as taken aback and disgusted by the reaction and non-action of most of the audience . I would like to know Kerry's response to the tased students question as well.

Tasered Student, Waving Greg Palast Book, Asked Kerry About Conceding 2004 Presidential Election 'In this book, it says five million votes were supressed. Didn't you want to be President?' Asks 21-Year-Old Prior to be Dragged Off by Security 'Kerry, true to character, stood immobile,' Notes the New York Times Best-Selling Author in Response... Posted By Brad Friedman Fortunately, it happened at a John Kerry event. So we'll likely hear a whole lot about this incident. Had it happened at a Republican event, Fox "News" and the rest of the news channels that receive their assignments from them would have made this a one-day story at best. The blurry-ish video version of the incident seen at right shows the entire statement and questions asked by University of Florida student Andrew Meyer. He was waving the recently released paperback version of investigative journalist Greg Palast's Armed Madhouse [1] and recommended the book to Kerry before asking him about his early concession to the 2004 Presidential Election. "He says you won the 2004 Election, isn't that amazing?" proclaimed Meyer, referring to Palast's claims in the book. The 21-year-old student continued on to speak about "multiple reports of disenfranchisement of black voters in Florida and Ohio on the day of the election" and "electronic voting machines in Volusia County, Florida, that counted backwards." "So amidst all of these reports of phony, bogus stuff going on, how could you concede the election on the day?" he asked as security guards surrounded him. "How could you concede the 2004 election on the day? In this book, it says there were five million votes that were suppressed. Didn't you want to be President?!" Kerry is heard earlier in Meyer's statement acknowledging that he has the book and that he's "already read it." Though we've seen the incident now on all of the cable news channels, several times, we've not seen any of them show the actual statement and questions being asked by Meyer. [2]"We warned you: ‘Armed Madhouse’ is a dangerous book," writes the sardonic New York Times best-selling author (and occasional BRAD BLOG [3] Guest Contributor), in an article posted [4] to his website earlier today. Before being dragged off, Meyer was able to get out additional questions about impeachment of George W. Bush and whether or not Kerry was a member of Yale University's Skull and Bones Society. "Kerry, true to character, stood immobile," writes Palast. "The Washington Post reported only that Meyers was holding a 'mysterious yellow book.' VERY mysterious," notes Palast, adding "I must admit I feel some appreciation for Meyers, especially because, even while he was being shot with untold amps of electricity, until he was handcuffed, he would not let go of his mysterious yellow book." "If you let me go, I'll walk out of here," Meyer's can be heard pleading with the uniformed University security team on the short video after being dragged away from the microphone. A female voice can be heard shouting "do it now!" Though it's unclear from the tape whether or not the comment is coming from one of the officers and whether or not it was meant as encouragement to use the Taser on Meyer, who can shortly thereafter be heard screaming as he was allegedly zapped by one or more of the officers. RAW STORY's coverage [5] reports that Kerry was unaware a Taser gun was used until after he'd left the building. Though the former Democratic Presidential Nominee is heard on tape attempting to speak to Meyer's question as the 21-year-old student is heard apparently screaming in pain --- just moments after he is heard pleading: "Don't taze me bro, I didn't do anything." UPDATE, AND A COMMENT: Here's another camera angle on the incident, which also includes the opening questions... I continue to be troubled that neither Kerry, nor the bulk of the people in the audience, appeared to take any action. Kudos to whoever was yelling near the end of the video above, "What are you doing?!" Discussion of the incident over at DU [6] has led several to say "Well, I don't think he should have been tasered, but he was clearing seeking publicity" or "being an ass" or "wasn't polite" or whatever. I'm troubled that so many there seem to feel that though "he shouldn't have been tasered," it's okay that he was, because he was less than polite. Or something. If he didn't deserve to be Tasered, then that's the end of it. Period. The lack of outrage at such behavior, and the passivity displayed by both Kerry and the audience, along with those who seem to think such an overly-violent reaction is just fine --- to what appears to be a non-threatening situation --- is very troubling. What it says about our society today has been reminding me all day of the old "When They Came for Me..." poem [7]. The First Amendment doesn't include a Politeness Clause as far as I'm aware. http://www.bradblog.com/?p=5083

Makow - Student Tasering Smacks Of Psy-Op By Henry Makow PhD 9-19-7 The tasering of University of Florida student Andrew Meyer 21, Tuesday looks like a B.F. Skinner experiment designed to let the mice know they will receive a painful shock if they raise sensitive political subjects in public. On the other hand, if they are supportive, as the students who cheered when Meyer was dragged away, they will continue to get their food and sex. I don't know if this incident was staged. I want to believe it wasn't. But on some unseen signal, campus cops lunged at Meyer when he mentioned Kerry's membership in "Skull and Bones" and brandished a copy of Greg Palast's book "Armed Madhouse," which stated Kerry actually had won the election. Meyer's questions were extremely relevant. He asked Kerry why he conceded the 2004 Presidential election the same day in spite of numerous voting irregularities. "Didn't you want to win?" Meyer demanded. Meyer was implying that Kerry might have thrown the election because he belonged to the same Illuminati secret society as Bush. When he was grabbed, he said, "Get away from me. I want to hear the answer." Meyer was dragged away shouting, "Help! Help! What did I do? What did I do?" Then he pleads with the officers: "Don't taser me bro'" He offers to "walk out of here" if they'll only let him go. Then we hear him scream with pain "Ow..ow..ow...ow!" Kerry's respect for the public and commitment to free speech was evident from his response. While Mayer was manhandled and tasered, Kerry droned on about how he wanted to answer this important question. He even made a joke of it: "Unfortunately [Meyer] is not available to swear me in as President." The painful incident was filmed from many angles . I urge you to watch as many as you can stomach. PUBLIC REACTION The reaction of the crowd was initially to cheer Meyer's question about not contesting the election, but it quickly fell silent. Then some cheered when Meyer was arrested. Some people protested, "police brutality" or "why are you doing that?" when Meyer was being tasered. The media reported this widely. Drudge had it as a main headline. But while there was exposure, there was also spin. CNBC said Meyer had been a heckler, which is very unlikely since he began his questions by thanking Kerry for his speech. Fox News apparently commended the campus cops for using the taser. Meyer was not without fault. He insisted on asking three questions and delivering a short prologue, saying Kerry had spoken for two hours, surely he could have two minutes. His tone was indignant. He broke away while being led out. In situations like this, we must strive for credibility by behaving in a calm, rational, non-threatening manner. PSY OP? At least one Internet commentator "Withowlseyeswatch" (comment 39) is suspicious: "If you have the time, watch the video of the Florida student incident about 20 times. Turn off the audio and watch. You will begin to see some interesting details not obvious to a person overcome with emotions seeing it for the first time. There are a couple of angles being shot from other spots around the room that fill in parts not seen. If you have the time, close your eyes and just listen to the audio. Pick out the different voices and follow them through. Listen to Kerry in the background a couple of times through. He droned throughout the entire incident as if he were hypnotizing the crowd. His remarks were very strange. Watch the girl cop at the beginning. See how she looks over to take her cue to make her move. Why were cops standing five feet behind the student? ... Did you see part 2 when the officers whisked him down stairs? He was not the victim of electric shock. He was not in shock. He was excited by the impact of his improvisation. He was working like the devil to keep the drama going because his mates were running low on creative juices. They didn't know what to do. This was nothing more than street theater. ....Something was amusing to the surrounding students. Is it possible that the students who were laughing and sitting without reaction was because they knew this fellow to be a trickster?" The prominence given Palast's book is suspicious because he apparently makes a case that Osama bin Laden and a Muslim terrorist network were responsible for 9-11. All and all, given the mass media coverage, this incident was probably staged. This video shows the aftermath. Meyer doesn't look like a man who has been tasered. He is told he is being arrested for "inciting a riot." He tells onlookers to inquire after him because "they are going to try and kill me." It gets even more weird. Meyer has a website which has received 150,000 visits since yesterday. The site does not appear to be political. On it he is selling a "pimp light" which "as a good Jew" he is offering at a "good price" ($89.) Apparently he has a history as a prankster. http://www.local10.com/news/14138122/detail.html?rss=mia&psp=news# CONCLUSION If this event was staged, what was the purpose? Was it to tell Americans to behave or else? Was it to incite us to rebel? Was it to blame Muslims for 9-11? Was it to sell a "pimp light," and trivialize the most important issues of our day? Was it all of the above? To confuse and disgust? The Illuminati have a practice of creating false opposition. In any case, you can bet the people at Tavistock are studying it closely. They are constantly studying our group behavior to manipulate us and discover how much they can get away with. They got away with 9-11 and now they are warning they ("Al Qaeda") are going to do it again. Increasingly we are tasked with the question: How much of this nonsense will we put up with? Are we men or are we mice? Thanks to "N" for her tips and research. ------------------------------------------ Henry Makow Ph.D. is the author of "Cruel Hoax: Feminism and the New World Order." What I'd like to know is why NONE of the people near the boy and the Police did NOT interviene to stop the PIGs from tasering the boy? Instead they all looked the other way or pretended to be reading their manifests while evil was being committed right under their noses. This would NOT have happened here in Ozz in such a gathering. The cops under such circumstance would have been jumped on by many in the crowd and a full on brawl would have erupted... and going by their numbers in that meeting (6 of them) they would have been lucky if the tasers weren't turned on themsleves by the people. It makes me sick to the core to watch so many idiots allow such injustice to occur and not do anything about it. They've obviously forgotten why they're living and what life is all about. Today it was the innocent student, tomorrow it'll be them and all their family. I hope they shut up and take it like vegtables when their turn comes just as they did now their fellow citizen copped it. The hide on these cops and those weakling imbersiles that probably call themselves human beings. They in fact are more evil than the cops are for allowing it to happen without resistance. FACT.

For some reason, many of his fellow students were unable or unwilling to understand, choosing instead to sit idly by—even applaud—as Meyer was tackled and tasered. It speaks legions about what we are up against in this country—millions of mindless consumers, more interested in the last text message on their iPhone than the future of America, that is to say their future, now seriously in question.

Perhaps this was a staged event to prove no one will help, it would seem that the US is so close to total control. For those enforcement officers to even use such a weapon of defense for one person, a student and only because of a question is proof of how much fear has been instilled. No one standing up to defend that boy demonstrates that every person in that room has been affected by the terrorism plan. I totally agree with Andrew X that would not happen here, citizens do not fear the enforcers. The best way to control is take away unity.

My aunt was traveling to take my cousin to college. She began to choke at a rest stop. Many people were there who could've helped. No one helped her. They all looked as her daughter cried for help after the Heimlich manuever failed. Finally, she was able to dislodge the object herself. She clearly remembered the people looking at her and just doing..... nothing. My cousin remembers people pointing at them. If I were simple enough, I would say it was prejudice. Yet I know its so much more. Along the same lines of this scene. There is a situation going on here in the US. Marshal Law can't be far behind. Its scary.

Andrea, On a daily basis there are countless unreported events in which a stranger DOES jump in to help someone. This will continue to happen. I am very sorry no one helped your aunt. That happens, too, for whatever reasons at the time. I have seen the police tazer many individuals on the show, "Cops." There is nothing pleasant about it. I refuse to take this event with the person questioning Kerry as "the way things are" all the time. I know they are not. The imprint has happened. The subconscious mind took it in. It was shown all over the media repeatedly for maximum exposure. Taking that situation and applying it to the future as a global example of what is coming is the intent of the imprint. It's a very effective strategy.

I feel sorry for you Rick, and I worry about all good Americans regarding the social atrocities going on there now. Given the kind of site you run makes me doubly concerned for your well being Rick. You'd have no trouble continuing this site if you lived out here mate. I'll say no more. That's right Karen. I'd LOVE to see them try such a stunt in any municipal building or hall in most any suburb here including Broadmedows, Sunshine, Fitzroy, Glenroy or Carlton. Better yet, let them go to Cabramatta in NSW and give it a go... they'd be set upon and belted before they even tried it over there. Any excuse to belt a cop in that place... let alone when they're misbehaving. One thing I'd like to know is why all these kind of attacks by Police in the USA never seem to occur in the Bronx?? Let's see them try it there so we'll all know what they’re made of. Long live and GOD bless the BRONX and all similar areas. They're the only ones that will save America's arse in the end. ...and if this is a staged event Karen they'll have to stage many more before the rest of the world will swallow any of their lies. The right people will never swallow it anyway, no matter how often it's staged, and that's what matters most. Andrea, I find it hard to fathom that people just stood there playing with themselves while another human was in the process of possibly dieing. That is a disgrace beyond belief. May karma invoke her will on them all, and may them all learn their erroneous ways and rectify them before too long. In my time Andrea I have saved many people's lives. Sometimes I risked my own to do it, but I never wavered on actioning the situation. Once I gave mouth to mouth to an OLD man who suffered a stroke and collapsed in a suburban street as he was walking to a Milk Bar to buy some bread and a newspaper. Turned out in the end, without me knowing at the time, he was the father of a very good friend of my mother. He would have died without doubt had I not been there. At sea I once saved the lives of 7 children all under the age of 10 that were caught out on a small sinking sloop that they took out for a spin on the Bay. Problem was it was not rated to take the weight of all of them... it was only 12foot long and 3foot wide, meant for only 2adults or 4 children of their age. I was flying past on my boat on my way out to my fishing spot in the middle of a hot summer’s day. Some God must have been shining on them because as soon as I was 100yards from them and approaching at 40mph the whole little boat/yacht disappeared under water and NONE of them had a life jacket on them. Luckily also I another big mate of mine on the boat with me, and I immediately planed over to them and judged the stoppage of my boat to occur right on top of them all... from 40mph to 0mph in 5secs, and we were in the middle of all the panicking kiddies. I reached over one side and leaned my arms down onto the water whereupon 2 of them grabbed one arm and 2 the other. I pulled them all up and over the gunwale of my boat in 2seconds flat. No sooner had I done that I turned to see my mate on the other side of my boat doing the exact same thing to the remaining 3 children. IOW, from inevitable death to sitting safe on the deck of my boat in less than 10seconds of their little yacht sinking. Now I have to say that if ever I had a good day in my life that was one of them. We took them straight to shore and let them all off on Brighton Pier and continued onto our fishing spot as though nothing had happened. But if I found myself in a situation were another person was choking in front of me, I can assure you that I'd do everything possible to help them as soon as I saw it happening. I'm afraid that far too many people are living this life with NO HONOR Andrea. Once honor is gone from within, so does humanity. NOW no sooner do we see this outrage regarding the innocent tasered student, we are then subjected to another NEWS clip within 24hours of this one showing a woman being continually Tasered outside a nightclub/pub in the States. She was Tasered so much that she eventually BLACKED OUT. Once again, people just stood and watched it happen. Though at least this time many of them showed genuine concern, but none were willing to do THE RIGHT THING about it and execute a citizen’s arrest on the criminally insane Police officer committing such atrocity. Needless to say that this fat PIG of an officer has been stood down while they all go about working out how best to WHITE WASH him now. Even if found guilty of gross abuse of power, all that'll happen to him is he'll be discharged and it's over. Instead of a stiff jail sentence to let him and all his kind know what can happen to them when they lose the plot and become a law onto themselves. I call upon and deeply urge the American authorities responsible for the investigation into this incident to do the right thing and sentence this insane person who was inappropriately allowed to conduct the affairs of a law enforcer to be found guilty of gross abuse of his powers and to be sentenced to at LEAST a 5 year term in jail with NO PAROLE. Anything less would be an insult to all of America and Law enforcement the world over. It's in your hands, do the right thing or pay the price yourselves in the long run. Respect is earned, never forced. Damn this.

The students are protesting it now. It will be interesting to see how this develops. Tasered student nets worldwide attention New Mexican wire services September 18, 2007 Fracas at Kerry forum spurs controversy over free speech GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Andrew Meyer, the University of Florida student from Weston who tested the limits of free speech during an address Monday by U.S. Sen. John Kerry, walked out of jail Tuesday and into cyberspace history — an instant, if likely fleeting, celebrity. Video clips of his fracas with university police officers flashed around the world, viewed more than 400,000 times. Tens of thousands of people debated the issue on Web sites, including more than 700 people on MiamiHerald.com. The American Civil Liberties Union and Amnesty International USA rose to his support. “Shocking someone who was seemingly little more than a nuisance? That belongs in the Ripley’s of poor policing,” said Larry Cox, executive director of Amnesty International USA. The degree to which Meyer, 21, was a nuisance or an opportunistic prankster — and the magnitude of the police response — stood at the center of the World Wide Web of discussion as he left jail, was hugged by his father and drove away in his lawyer’s sport-utility vehicle. The charges: resisting an officer with violence and disturbing the peace by disrupting a school activity. His attorney said he would plead not guilty. The bail: none — he was released on his own recognizance and made no public comment. The response: immediate and wide, starting on campus and racing around the world. UF President J. Bernard Machen described the event as “regretful” and said two officers involved in the incident were placed on administrative leave pending an investigation by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. “We’re absolutely committed to having a safe environment for our faculty and our students so that a free exchange of ideas can occur,” Machen said. University police said in a news release that officers had been summoned by the forum’s sponsors to escort Meyer from the building, though organizers disputed that and said his microphone was cut off after he used a sexually explicit term. Police added that Meyer was Tasered because he resisted when officers were attempting to place him in handcuffs. His lawyer, Robert Griscti, said it appeared Meyer was shocked after the cuffs were already on. About 100 students gathered on campus Tuesday to plan protests, some wearing T-shirts denouncing police violence. As the forum with Kerry came to a conclusion Monday, the Massachusetts Democrat agreed to answer a question from Meyer even though the Q&A period was supposed to be over. Meyer launched into a lengthy, somewhat meandering series of questions that amounted to this: Why did Kerry concede the 2004 presidential election? Why not impeach President Bush? Was Kerry a member of the same secretive society at Yale University as Bush? Reminded he was to ask only one question, Meyer responded: “He’s talked for two hours. I think I can have two minutes.” According to the official police report, Meyer was accompanied to the meeting by a woman who was there to film him and, as he took the microphone, he asked her: “Are you taping this? Do you have this? You ready?” The report also said that, after the arrest, Meyer’s “demeanor completely changed once the cameras were not in sight. Meyer did ask, at one point, if the cameras were going to be at the jail.” The Internet debate revolved around the relative balance between Meyer’s provocative behavior and the police response, with the majority of posters criticizing the officers. “It was excessive force,” one person wrote on Facebook.com, the social networking site. “The Taser shouldn’t have been used.” Others argued that Meyer’s actions were out of line and disruptive, and he got what he deserved. “The kid was being obnoxious,” wrote another poster. “He had his chance to peacefully ask his question and not go into the tirade he went into.” Kerry also came under criticism from people who thought he should have done more to take control of the situation and cool tensions. During the encounter, as officers began grabbing Meyer’s arms, Kerry can be heard saying: “That’s all right; let me answer his question.” A little later, he offers again to answer Meyer’s “very important question.” On Tuesday, Kerry released a statement. “In 37 years of public appearances, through wars, protests and highly emotional events, I have never had a dialogue end this way.” Kerry said. “I hope that neither the student nor any of the police were injured. I regret enormously that a good healthy discussion was interrupted.” http://www.freenewmexican.com/news/68791.html#

The more I read about this incident the more I feel it was a staged event. Perhaps a social experiment. In the political arena there could be several reasons to stage such a thing. When I recall witnessing other taped tasing demonstrations it seemed the person who was tased was rendered unable to cry out with much strength. The fellow in Florida can clearly be heard yelling owww!owwww! with gusto. Perhaps when they initially used the taser Mercy they had it set at TOO HIGH a setting rendering the victim too shocked to even scream. Perhaps that's why there were numerous deaths in the early days of tasering? Too many volts, not enough brains. If this was the case then it was obviously white washed and never mentioned in the media. So now they set them at a lower setting which basically makes you hurt like hell but can still scream... until you are tasered too much and then you go quiet from shock or black out completely. Here is the NEWS clip I saw with the woman being repeatedly tasered at the nightclub till she lost consciousness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KMpEr-MOSyk Nasty stuff. Wow. That was a very disturbing video. Surprisingly, I live in Cleveland, Ohio and I am only about 20-30 minutes from Warren and I watch the news every morning and heard nothing about this. The incident with my aunt happened in Ohio also.
