A mirror, when becoming a feng shui mirror, can be used to many more things than allowing us to see how we look. Feng shui teaches how a feng shui mirror can be used in order to solve many different problems, and we will describe some of these uses through the next few lines.

One first way to use a feng shui mirror is to send something negative away. By placing the mirror facing whatever is negative to your space, the mirror would reflect it back not allowing it to affect you negatively. Therefore, if you have an object or a shape which disharmonizes, then you can neutralize its effect by placing the feng shui mirror facing it.

A feng shui mirror can also be used when you have a low ceiling and it has a pushing down effect on you. In this case, you should place a mirror facing the ceiling in order to make it reflect it. The mirror should be placed at some spot above your head level so it reflects the ceiling back before its pushing effect reaches you.

Another use a feng shui mirror can have is when your bedroom or any other room in which you need to be relaxed is placed above somewhere with machines or a garage. In these cases, placing a mirror on the floor and facing down wouldn't let the machines energy and the disturbances have a bad effect on you.

Sometimes there is an object or element which you may need at a specific spot but you can not actually place it there, when this happens, a feng shui mirror can be the solution. If you need the presence of things such as an object or a color and you can not place it where you need, you can put a feng shui mirror reflecting it in order to have it represented through that reflection where you need.

By using a feng shui mirror, you can also bring elements which are outside your house and belong to the nature. In order to achieve this, all you have to do is place the mirror inside your house facing that element through a window and that reflection would be as if that natural element was into the house.

Karen, would you say these would make a good Feng Shui mirrors for the doorway?

http://www.amazon.com/Three-Bagua-Mirrors-Concave-Convex/dp/B000KL3WIQ/ref=pd_bbs_sr_3?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1209791139&sr=8-3

Should I use Concave, Convex, or Flat?

What's the difference between a flat mirror bagua, convex or concave?

A convex mirror bagua is the strongest one for deflecting back whatever is in front of it. Most of the time a standard bagua mirror will do but sometimes something stronger is needed. A concave mirrorred bagua is used when you are wanting to absorb the object in front. A consultant will use this in certain situations. Beginner Feng Shui users won't normally use it unless they know how. Thats why standard bagua mirrors are most commonly used.

Yes Richard,
I love how you research stuff, and you probably understand it more than I now! A lot of feng Shui is based on superstition, so don’t go too much into that part, the main purpose that feng Shui provides is how you ‘fill space’ , the space being a room or your property etc, and how your chi is affected by what fills that space.

When we had our business, I overlooked the fact that the front and back door were opposite of each other, a very bad mistake on my behalf. So the result? The space created energy of coming –going too quickly, and yes this included the money, we were busy, had great customers but it was a constant struggle.
I think you should start with the flat, and see how it goes, then if you feel no difference, try out one of the others, the first thing you will feel is a little lighter in the body, not literally but you will understand when you experience it.

I figured some of it was probably based on superstition and that’s why I asked questions. That’s interesting what you said about your restaurant. My house is the same way by having the front and back door opposite of each other. How would I fix that situation, would I hang a flat mirror above both those doors?

We tried to fix it in a variety of ways, crystals and the mirror but it is probably the most difficult negative chi energy to block, we were not successful, it makes a lot of sense because all that comes from the front goes directly out the back, but does your house have walls in-between these doors? The mirror may work because a house and business are two different energies, and a little easier to overcome. Just like the body reflects ‘thought patterns’ the house does the same, it is where we live, and it does not have to be a fantastic house, you just need to analyze where and how your belongings are positioned.

Yes, there is a wall separating the front and back door. I take it that eliminates the problem?

It does not eliminate the problem, but it surely helps because you can use it to reflect both the front and back doors, so the doors are used for their intention.
Is the front door your main entrance door? You just have to ask yourself do you have problems keeping energy within this area, so is your money spent as soon as receiving, do you regularly run out of things.
For most homes the front door is the entry, the back door the exit, when both face each other these work as one, so the energy works as continuous, many homes are designed this way.
Another one is living in a court, the wine glass shape can also structure continual negative chi, living on a corner, and there are lots of little things that may sound like superstition but make so much sense when you analyze it.
All the cities that are built to form a shape and this shape takes on energetic purpose.

You will have to let us know if this helps, the other thing that will automatically help is the fact that you have become aware of this energy now, so you have ‘activated’ the response to knowing, and that should change things for you also.
