Thanks everybody, I appreciate all the kind words :big grin:. I will continue to update that as I go. I am very pleased with how these are going which is good because usually I am terribly harsh with myself and that leads to not painting at all. I also have resisted doing landscapes, so it is amusing that I am enjoying it so much  It is a lesson in sabbatoge though. When I was planning on art as a career I was doing charcoal, oils, and sculpture in college (with the emphasis on sculpture). I had maybe done 2 watercolors my whole life. So when I decided to pursue painting as a career, I made it much more difficult by saying "Hey, I think I'll do watercolors". So even though I have formal "training" in art, I am self teaching in watercolors. I also have resisted landscapes when clearly they are speaking to me. I am thankful that pursuing "reclaiming my own mind" has given me the space to expand into the areas I need/desire minus the self flagellation.

Hey Haven, What is definition of Plain Air?... I dont draw or paint. I once drew a stick figure and everyone thought it was a log. Then I tried to draw a log and everyone thought it was a cow!

William, sure your not from down under land with that sense of humor? Haven, They are great, and I agree that they are suggestive and mysterious, there is a real mystery to their interpretation. Did you do these while doing your hyperspace work? Stop getting distracted and take more photos so we can view all your wonderful creations.

William: You crack me up  Okay, so "Plein air" really means "I was sittin outside breathing outside air while painting the outside, instead of sitting inside breathing studio air painting the outside from a photograph" :big grin: It always feels to me like one of those pretentious words that are meant to exclude people (which I hate). But then I was trying to think what to call these to describe the difference of how I usually paint and couldn't come up with anything else   .Karen: these are products of hyperspace and oversoul work. Some are better than others for sure, but for the first time in years I can look at them and feel really happy, even with the ones that don't go well lol. I should put up one of the "Good Paint Gone Bad" ones too.

Haven, I love your new avatar because it looks so professional. I knew another artist who was new to computer graphics, but he learned fast and quickly surpassed me as well... :thumbsup:
