Ah, that's right. That's why my daughter said she wanted to go to Australia when she is. She wanted to be there for Australia Day...the big holiday.

All jokes aside she'll have a plethora of events to attend during Australia Day... and they all rock. It's a great day to get out and see Australia... people everywhere and many things happen from the previous day also. She'll have so many events to pick from that she won't know which one/s to go to, she'll enjoy herself though most anywhere she does end up going. I do beleive she maybe here in time to ALSO attend Chinese New Year fiesta's in any of the main cities Chinatown's. Melbourne's Chinatown packs out fully with lots of stalls along the street which has been blocked off to traffic because of the amount of pedestrians. Little Bourke St in Melb turns into thriving mass of people and parades and food stalls... along with ALL the existing resturants that go to make up Chinatown all year round. It falls in Febuary so if she's not in Melbourne by then she can always attend Sydney's which is massive in its own right. http://www.cultureandrecreation.gov.au/articles/chinese/
