There is something extremely bizzare going on with the electron flux data. In all of the years I have been checking these graphs, I have not seen the electron flux shoot up the way it has in this image. Then it drops straight down. Solar winds buffeting the earth's magnetic field cause the lines which represent electron flux on this graph to drop suddenly and look jagged. The solar wind speed is on the lower end of the spectrum at this moment. I have no idea what has caused the red line to shoot up like it has which started to do so yesterday. I do know that I have a headache, my spine hurts and I feel pretty awful right now. http://www.n3kl.org/sun/noaa.html

http://www.swpc.noaa.gov/rt_plots/elec_3d.html There is definitely something going on out there and it is most unusual. I wish I knew what is happening and who or what is causing it. From the link above: "This electron flux plot contains the 5-minute averaged integral electron flux (electrons/cm2-s-sr) with energies greater than or equal to 0.6 MeV and greater than or equal to 2 MeV at GOES-12 (W75) and GOES-11 (W135). These data are invalid during a significant proton event because of sensor contamination at the GOES spacecraft. Enhanced fluxes of electrons for an extended period of time have been associated with deep dielectric charging anomalies." I don't know what that last sentence I put in italics really means but I know it is significant. I have repeatedly stated that I can feel solar activity/changes in my body and have known this for years. Solar winds hitting the planet used to make me feel GOOD. That suddenly stopped one day several years ago and has been the opposite since. Solar data such as the electron flux is recorded by satellite and ground-based equipment.

I wonder what is going on.  And I'm not saying what happened yesterday is a result of the bombardment of high frequency energy, but yesterday I had my *electric face* feeling where as my face tingles. No headache or spine problems for me, but an electric face. I am not joking. A GRB or CME(?), or a, unknown astrophysical object spitting out high-energy electrons near earth (?), or dark matter particles, enabled by the existence of extra dimensions, annihilating nearby (?), or a response (answer from space) to what the HC @ CERN started in Sept (?), or some form of communication we don't understand (?), or an experiment by Endeavour (?)................ if you figure it out, please post what the cause is. Per here, no radio blackouts, geomagnetic or solar radiation storms, in last 24 hours. (NOAA scale).

Very interesting input, Sily, and I thank you for including it. Even the yellow line in the graph has been looking unusual lately. There is a solar wind stream from a coronal hole due to hit the earth on or about Dec. 3rd. In the meantime, that graph should look very different than it has been. I know that graph! When the solar wind is picked up by the equipment, the lines in that electron flux graph should plunge downward and look jagged. This is when some people begin to experience all sorts of symptoms from nerve problems to headaches to irritability to toothaches to vertigo to muscle spasms to spinal inflammation and other symptoms. Again, as far as the lines spiking upward as they appear in the graph, this is new to me.

Now look at that. The spikes are gone. The above graph is live. Isn't that just plain old interesting? They were there earlier today and continued into today. I don't know when they disappeared because I have not been at my PC for a while. I wrote to them last night asking if they could explain the anomalies to me. No answer but now they are gone. Here's my answer: Dear Polly, Thank you for your contact. There seems to be a problem with the electron sensor on board the GOES-12 satellite experiencing periods of noisy data. From what we can tell at this point it has something to do with a temperature change, and the sensor may be deteriorating. As of December 1, the GOES-11 satellite has been designated as the SWPC primary satellite with GOES-10 as the secondary. I hope this helps answer your question. Cool answer!  Polly.................... have you been watching the skies the last two nights? Venus - Jupiter and the moon very close to one another in the sky. Last night's view was better than tonight's but still driving home tonight was neat. Those two planets are bright, bright, bright!

Sily, I had an extremely clear view last evening of the triangular conjunction when I went outside. Space Weather says it is the most photographed event in their eleven years. What would cause a temperature change out around that GOES satellite? It seems that would be accounted for in the sensor's design if it happened on a regular basis. Don't mind me, it's just my mind exploring.
